OUR HISTORY

Our founders, Neil and Janet Worland, helped our agency begin more than 15 years ago after Neil ended a decades-long career as a captive agent. Neil wanted to shed the burden of incorporating the interest of a single insurance company in his daily actions as an agent and wanted to focus more on clients’ needs. Thus were born his efforts to become independent. These efforts resulted in Altech Insurance Agency opening and serving the insurance needs of individuals, families, and commercial enterprises throughout Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon.

Neil and Janet would make Altech a hub for clients who seek personal attention, broad and cost-effective insurance programs, and ongoing services and that maximize the value of insurance. The staff at Altech exemplifies Neil and Janet’s goals as insurers and delivers the attention, products, and services necessary to make the agency the best it can be.

WHAT WE EMBODY AND WHAT WE DELIVER

Part of being the best we can be involves partnering with insurance carriers that provide the greatest coverages and therefore give our clients opportunities to customize their plans, which ultimately helps clients find the best fits for insurance needs. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND LOCAL CONTRIBUTION

Altech has donated time and money to local organizations over the years, including the Klineline Kids Fishing Derby and Local Sports Teams from the Hazel Dell and Salmon Creek areas. We also do our best to buy local goods and services to help sustain Vancouver’s small business community.

We take advantage of what the Pacific Northwest has to offer by camping, boating, kayaking, hiking, visiting local farmers markets, and being fans of our NW sports teams: The Seahawks, Blazers, Mariners, and Timbers.

We know that the best way for us to contribute to the communities we serve is to provide the finest insurance products and services. However, we understand that there is more we can do. Our contributions to local groups and our activities as outdoors people are marks of our commitment to helping the communities we serve and the natural world of the upper Northwest flourish. We’re proud of our commitment and we make delivering on it, like fine products and services, an integral part of our operation.
